Stampin' Up! Petal Palette - Memories & More

Hello, this week I needed some cards in a hurry as two of my crafty ladies celebrated their Birthdays this week!

Have you seen page 24 of the Spring/ Summer catalogue yet?  If you are not a scrapbooker you might just have passed this page by - I know I almost did as I don't scrapbook myself!

Fortunately I took another look and spotted the Memories & More Card Pack - these cards are perfect to make gift tags, cards and preserve your memories.  If you are anything like me; always short of time, these are a brilliant base for projects too.

There are 72, yes 72 double sided cards in the pack for just £9!

I decided to keep my colour scheme simple using the colours on the card with the addition of two accent colours.

I have seen many cards on Pinterest and often wondered how the backgrounds were made - now I know!  I saw a card last week made by Elizabeth Price who is an SU Demo in Silicone Valley that I loved so much I set about making my own version, tweaking and making a few changes along the way.

I stamped and die cut an assortment of flowers and birds using the Petal Palette bundle (= 10% saving) and added some colour with the Stampin' Blends.

I arranged all my pieces around the wreath and made a perch for the bird to stand on as we had done for C & C sessions this week.  Love a bit of dimension/shadow on a project!

You might just be able to see that I have added touches of Wink of Stella to the black leaves and I think I might have got a little carried away adding lots of jewels!

The inside and the envelope were also decorated to coordinate.

The flower has been stamped and coloured on the inside but as the Stampin' Blends have a tendancy to soak through card and paper (this is how you are able to blend them), I added a leftover die cut to the envelope.

Here is the completed card and envleope. I quite enjoyed arranging all the pieces before adhering with a mix of Tombox and Stampin' Dimensionals.
