Stampin' Up! Petal Palette - stepped up!

Hello, here are the details for the second C & C project this week using Petal Palette.

The bold and vibrant colours we have used this week have proved very popular.  Several of my crafty ladies initially were not too keen on the combo but very quickly changed their minds.  Sometimes it is good to move out of your own comfort zone!  Everyone agreed that this card would be suitable for lots of occasions and, perhaps even Mother's Day too ...

The images in the Petal Palette stamp set make it easy to create cards in an artistic style, perfect for a spot of colouring with the Stampin' Blends too.

As there is a choice of two embossing folders with the Petal Pair TIEF everyone had a choice to make this week.  The most popular folder was the one above - not sure what they are; perhaps branches?  If you know, leave a comment below to let me know please.

I recently 'found' the Lots of Labels Framelits which had fallen down the back of my desk - this might just explain why I haven't used them very much!  They were the perfect addition to this card - I used the second largest framelit.

The addition of a die cut border motif behind the flowers brought everything together.  We decided this afternoon that the die cut looked Moroccan in style.

Here is the completed card and envelope.

I also took my Watercolour pencils with me this afternoon - we used them to colour the flowers on the envelope and on the insert to create a softer look.  One of the things I love about Stampin' Up! is the colour coordination - we were able to use the same colours in the Stampin' Blends and the watercolour pencils; brilliant!

Thanks to everyone who joined me this week for a crafty coffee.  Next week for Coffee & Cards we will be using the Magical Day Bundle; be warned there will be lots of sparkle!

I will be taking part in the next Stampers by the Dozen Blog Hop at the weekend where I will also be showcasing this bundle!

I am busy prepping for my first Crafternoon Tea Event of 2018 on Saturday - very much looking forward to some relaxed crafty fun with a lovely group of ladies.

Thanks for looking at my blog today - details of the products I used for this project can be found below.

Hope you have a crafty weekend too!

Susan xx
